Frequently asked questions

Solar panels, good to know

How many panels do I need?

That depends on your annual consumption and roof surface area. We determine the exact number for your situation using our sustainability check or a site survey.

Does it also work on a flat roof?

Yes. On flat roofs, we install panels on a lightweight mounting system at the optimal angle (east-west or south).

What happens to the net metering scheme?

The net metering scheme will end on 1 January 2027. After that, self-consumption becomes more valuable, a home battery can then provide extra returns. We will advise you on this.

Do I need a permit?

In most cases, no. For listed buildings or protected townscapes, we will check this together.
