We advise against this. A charging station requires its own dedicated circuit in the consumer unit, complete with the appropriate protection and cable thickness. This work should be carried out by a professional installer to ensure it is safe and that your main fuse can handle the load. We handle the entire installation, from the consumer unit to the charging station.
Can the charging station also be mounted on a post instead of on the wall?
Yes. If your car is parked further away from the house, we install the charging station on a mounting post on your driveway or parking space, with the cable neatly routed to the consumer unit.
How does the installation of a home charging station work?
We inspect your consumer unit, the grid connection and the cable route. We then mount the charging station, neatly run the cable, connect it to a dedicated circuit, and configure smart charging and, where necessary, dynamic load balancing.
