Hybrid: almost always possible

Because a hybrid heat pump works in tandem with your central heating boiler, your home does not need to be perfectly insulated. Your existing radiators will suffice. For most existing homes, this is the easiest first step.

All-electric: look at insulation and heat distribution

If you want to go completely gas-free, good insulation and low-temperature heat distribution (underfloor heating or larger radiators) is important. It is not your year of construction, but your level of insulation that is decisive.
